The Fender Player Plus Series: A New Kind of Player
Developed to aid creative guitarists stamp out something that's truly their own, the Fender Player Plus Series is the next logical step up from the Deluxe Series.
The Player Plus: The Next-Gen
Back in 2018, Fender set a new standard in affordable, entry-level guitars and dropped what would become their best-selling range of all time. The Player Plus Series represents a considerable step forward, compiling next-generation instruments to support guitarists and bassists with expanded sound options and even better playability. Built with pride in the Ensenada factory in Mexico, each of these brand-spanking new models comes complete with a matching gig bag.
High-Grade Specs
Next to an entirely fresh palette of stage-worthy paint-jobs, the Player Plus Series models have all been gifted with the refined comfort of a modern C-profile, rounded fretboard-edges, and a modern 12 inch radius. Short-post locking tuners have also been installed for enhanced stability while speeding up string changes, so in terms of hardware and build alone, you're really getting the deluxe treatment.
Noiseless Pickups
Every instrument in the Player Plus Series has been given an alder body, laying down a flexible foundation as well as excellent resonance and sustain. But a significant jump in the sound quality when compared to the original Player Plus Series is provided by a fresh set of Noiseless™ pickups and a set of special model-dependent switching options. For a start, each electric guitar in the range comes with a treble-bleed circuit, making absolutely sure that clarity is retained when the volume pot is pulled back.
Optional Active Tone Controls
Every Player Plus bass has also been given the unique perk of a fitted switch for flipping the electronics from passive into active mode. In passive mode, you get the classic warmth of your Precision Bass, or the bright growl of your Jazz, and as soon as you switch up to active mode and trigger the integrated 18V preamp, you're handed control over a three-band EQ for detailed tone-polishing. Every bass also comes mounted with a solid Fender HiMass™ bridge complete with chromed-zinc saddles to add an extra dose of low-end sustain and support pure intonation.
