Why would you possibly need so many channels? The Sixty-Four is capable of simultaneously supporting 4 stereo input signals and 4 stereo DVS decks from your Serato DJ software. At the same time, you can also use a software send and return for your Serato DJ iZotope effect software. The final 2 channels are available for recording your main output. If you're not using the DVS decks, you can record the signals from the decks post fader. For easy change-overs, the Rane Sixty-Four is equipped with two USB ports - exceptionally useful if you're DJing with a partner. Simply assign an input to one of the USB ports, and audio and MIDI will be automatically assigned to your computer.

Ideally, you don't want to have to rely on your computer keyboard and mouse when you're operating your Serato DJ software. An advanced BPM meter makes it easier to sync your tracks, and the analogue channels of the mixer are equipped with a three-band EQ and high and low-pass filters.
