The Primacoustic Cumulus bass trap bears an incredibly simple yet extremely effective design, and is a subtle, fuss-free solution when it comes to acoustic treatment. Easily installed in an upper corner of the control room, the Cumulus efficiently absorbs the lower frequencies leaving you with an un-muddied, clean audio image. It also comes finished in a thoughtfully neutral colour.
Highly Absorbent, Clever Design
Made in part from high-density fibreglass, the Cumulus Tri-Corner bass trap bears outstanding sound wave absorbing properties, while the materials are safe to use in commercial as well as private studios since they're completely fire safe. Both the front and rear has been bound in micro-mesh with resin-reinforced edges to ensure optimum enclosure, and the whole piece has then been close-wrapped in acoustically transparent fabric that further increases sound wave absorption.
Highly Efficient
While the Cumulus corner piece looks large in the pack, once it's been installed, it slots seamlessly between the walls and ceiling, takes up very little space, while a small cavity is created behind the piece. It's this cavity that enables the panel to absorb problematic lower frequencies with such high efficiency, leaving the mid-to-low frequencies free of distortion since anything up to 100Hz is absorbed. Even when setting up vocal booths, the Cumulus is able to efficiently tackle the often tricky 200Hz to 300Hz frequency range, ensuring clean recordings.
