The 30W AC30 is the flagship of the Hand Wired series; as such, the AC30HW2X is built of the best components and features two Celestion Alnico Blue Bulldog speakers built into a rugged birch plywood chassis. The legendary Blue Bulldog speakers have been used by VOX since the sixties and have come to be known for their gloriously soft attack, warm bass tones, sweet mids and sparkling highs. They also offer more definition and excellent musical compression at high volumes.

Classic VOX with a modern twist

Along with the traditional Normal and Top Boost channels, VOX has a number of cool modern functions built in. For starters, there's an OP Mode switch, which you can use to cut the power in half and to activate the Bright option on the Normal channel. Furthermore, you'll find a Master Volume that you can take out of the circuit with a bypass switch, should you so choose. A HOT/COOL function is also available for the Top Boost channel so you can go from that classic AC30 overdrive to a modern high-gain scream that's ideal for solos.

The back is equipped with three extra connectors. You can connect an optional 16-ohm speaker cabinet to the Extension SP output to let it work alongside the internal speakers. Conversely, the External SP output turns the internal speakers off and can be switched between 8 and 16 Ohms. Additionally, if you plug in the included VFS1 foot switch into the Footswitch input, you can use it to activate the Hot mode for the Top Boost channel.
