The semi-acoustic Gretsch G5655T Electromatic Centerblock Junior is a hollow-body with a slightly smaller body for a less back-breaking solid-body-sized electric guitar experience. Since this is a thinline archtop, while you get that lighter feel, you also get a guitar that feels more agile, along with that resonant hollow-body foundation sound supported by a solid centre block to remove any fear of feedback at higher volumes.

The G5655T: Warm Solidity with Twangy Refinement

This Electromatic is mounted with two Broad’Tron pickups finished with the ever stylish Black-Top housing. It's these that deliver that authentic, double-wound, hum-free and solid Gretsch humbucker sound. While the configuration offers plenty of foundation depth, the Junior still has single-coil leanings that give the sound a twangy touch. The tone is controlled by a Gretsch-standard trio of volume pots, single tone pot and 3-way switch while, since this is the T-model, the G5655T Centerblock Junior is mounted with a Bigsby B70 tailpiece for atmospheric pitch bends.
